Prof. Isabel Alonso-Breto (01.03.2022-04.04.2022)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isabel <\/strong>is a lecturer in Postcolonial Literatures at the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures and English Studies at the University of Barcelona. She is the Vice-director of the Centre for Australian and Transnational Studies at the University of Barcelona and a member of the research group Ratnakara: Literatures and Cultures of the Indian Ocean. Editor of the journal Blue Gum<\/em> and deputy editor of Indialogs, Spanish Journal of India Studies<\/em>, she has authored some 50 articles and book chapters and translated poetry from various postcolonial authors. In 2021 she authored the poetry collection Elogio de la tabla de surf y otros poemas desde el c\u00e1ncer de mama <\/em>(Praise of the Surfboard and other Poems from Breast Cancer<\/em>).<\/em> She has been a Visiting Researcher at the Partnership Studies Group (University of Udine) between March 1 and April 4, 2022, working on the project “Partnership, Care, Conviviality: Social Function of Poetry in the Post-pandemia<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
